Jesse Hughes to Put a ‘Boots Electric’ Holiday Record in Christmas Stockings

Boots Electric to release Christmas Album

By JOHN DALY

Eagles Of Death Metal’s Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes, whose live karaoke performances on social media kept the huddled masses in good cheer during lockdown, will release a Christmas record this year.

Eagles of Death Metal Presents A Boots Electric Christmas is expected in November via UMe. It’s a 6-track EP that spreads positive holiday sounds via CD and all digital formats.

Hughes, AKA “Boots Electric,” tracks perennial holiday classics “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Put A Little Love In Your Heart,” “O Holy Night,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “Little Town Of Bethlehem.”

Listeners can get a taste of the holiday release today as Hughes released an a cappella rendition of “O Holy Night” featuring Hughes and EODM bandmate Joshua Homme on vocals. And all kidding aside, Boots and Homme bring a long overdue modern twist to a gorgeous holiday classic.

Listen to ‘O Holy Night’ here:

“Just a few songs to warm your heart during Christmas time,” Hughes said. “I hope you like them. May Christmas bring peace to you all. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, I love you, and God bless you all.”

Pre-order Eagles of Death Metal Presents A Boots Electric Christmas HERE now and immediately receive “O Holy Night,” followed by “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” on October 29.

Eagles of Death Metal tackle the second leg of their upcoming 24th Anniversary Tour, which will take place across Europe next March and April. The previously announced first leg of the tour kicks off in Brighton, UK on November 22, 2021, with special guest Bones UK. Ticketing information can be found HERE.
