WHIT3 COLLR, an Orange County-based rock and metal-tinged band, impressed with solid musicianship that was burning red and fierce at the Viper Room.

The trio, featuring lead singer and guitarist Will Sawyer, bassist JT Sawyer, and drummer Donovan Hess, mightily entertained an eager crowd busting to get out, have a good time and totally let loose after being locked down for too long.

The band is young, but relatively seasoned having played the Viper Room before, the Whisky A Go Go and Coach House. Friends since seventh grade, 17-year-old Sawyer and 16-year-old Hess have been playing together since 2017.

The band blends influences from the past with a modern, contemporary twist that echoes the sounds of such great heavyweights as Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses and Motley Crue. Their original material is very hook-laden and catchy with bright, irresistible melodies.

WHIT3 COLLR has two singles out: “Endless Hours” and “Sweet 16.” The group performed those singles along with another upcoming single being released next Friday, “Sunset Crusin’,” live plus two cover songs including: “It’s So Easy” (GNR) and La Grande (ZZ Top).

WHITE 3 COLLR delivered a strong and memorable nine-song set. The band fired up the excited audience for searing rock and roll complete with blazing and smoking hot guitar riffs, powerhouse drumming and a strong and mightily rhythm section held it all down tightly and cohesively.
