MANCHESTER, UK – Those wicked Nasty Cherry girls made their Manchester debut this week.
If you haven’t seen the 6-part reality series on Netflix called “I’m With the Band,” you won’t know who we’re talking about. As the storyline goes, the girls were hand-picked by Electro-pop diva Charli XCX, who then set out to make a documentary about getting an all-girl “bad ass” band together and the show is their story.
Watch the Nasty Cherry series “I’m With The Band” here: https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80217594.
Nasty Cherry are Gabi (singer), Chloe (guitar), Georgia (bass) and Debbie (drums). Guitarist Chloe has a fan following in Los Angeles, known for the band Kitten. But Nasty Cherry has a different look and sound and has all the ingredients for an awesome show.
The atmosphere in the venue was electric, with anticipation, the band and their entourage were hanging about watching the boys from the band Noisy side stage, eventually couldn’t contain themselves any longer and began dancing in the pit, much to the crowds approval.
When they emerged onstage later, it was straight into some fast and frantic action. These girls can really perform, with a nod to The Runaways and The Spice Girls, it was a total no brainer that this packed out crowd were loving every moment. I think we might just be seeing them in bigger venues from now onwards.
