Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy played the Whisky a Go-Go Tuesday night to tune up for next summer’s Hella Mega stadium tour that kicks off next summer in Europe and hits North America next July and August.
People lined up outside the Whisky since the early hours to catch a glimpse of the bands and maybe hear some new tunes by Green Day and Weezer, who announced new albums.
Following a European swing, the Hella Mega Tour opens its U.S. jaunt in Seattle on July 17, then makes stops in San Francisco (July 21), San Diego (July 24) and Los Angeles (July 25) before it moves on to Dallas, Miami, Washington, D.C. and New York, wrapping in Philadelphia (Aug. 29).
Hotter than hot band The Interrupters will open on the tour.
