The Prima Donna guys are in deep on this cover.
In fact, they’re submerged in their leather jackets in the artwork for the new Prima Donna cover of a popular Bananarama tune, “Cruel Summer.” It’s a cool cover of a song and the song cover art is by Alex Hagen, from a photo by Erin Joyce.
“Cruel Summer,” made famous by the 1980s UK party girl trio, Bananarama, will be released by Prima Donna on digital platforms on June 21. In 1984, “Cruel Summer,” was the new wave lament of young summer vacationers everywhere.

Bananarama Scores a Lifelong Hit with ‘Cruel Summer’
“Cruel Summer” is a full-bodied version of Bananarama’s wispy original. The original lineup tour of the three gals from the UK made a few U.S. stops last year, including in Los Angeles at The Novo. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward were joined by Siobhan Fahey.
