Katey Sagal and The Reluctant Apostles are making their first appearance on the East Coast, hitting the road for several performances.
Sagal, Bob Thiele Jr. and the crew will be taking their retro rock groove to the Northeast, playing venues including City Winery in NYC on Thursday, July 26, Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, N.Y. on Friday, July 27, and Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y. on Saturday, July 28.
The band, which is promoting its debut self-titled album, plays a range of tunes including “Crystal Blue Pursuasion,” various Grateful Dead songs including “Candyman,” and “My Love’s Getting Stronger Day By Day.”
The Reluctant Apostles: Americana With an Edge
The music can be described as Americana with a Rock N Roll edge, as the band rips through some great classics and adds a modern twist. The guitar work, drums, keyboards and bass all work together. The harmonies are amazing and Katey’s voice is out of this world.
It’s an upbeat band with Sagal on vocals, guitar and a range of instruments, Thiele on vocals and guitar, John Philip Shenale on keys, Davey Faragher on bass, Michael Urbano on drums and Billy Harvey on lead guitar.
