Sting and Shaggy Launch 44/876 Tour in September, Play The Wiltern Oct. 15

Sting and Shaggy, who just released the fun, island-style album 44/876, will take their island flavored music on the road with a national tour, it was announced today.

The 44/876 Tour launches in Miami on Sept. 15 and wraps at the Wiltern on Oct. 15.

Performing in intimate clubs and theatres, the musicians will combine their bands to play songs off 44/876 (A&M/Interscope Records), and will collaborate on each musician’s hits like “Every Breath You Take,” “Englishman In New York,” “Message In A Bottle,” “It Wasn’t Me,” “Mr. Boombastic” and “Angel.”

Sting and Shaggy to Play California, Phoenix and Las Vegas

The tour makes stops at The Masonic in San Francisco on Oct. 8; Santa Barbara Bowl on Oct. 9; The Van Buren in Phoenix on Oct. 10; Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage on Oct. 12; and Park Theatre in Las Vegas on Oct. 13 before wrapping up at The Wiltern on Oct. 15.

Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Thursday, May 24 at 10 a.m. local time at and usual outlets. Every online ticket purchase includes one physical or digital copy of Sting and Shaggy’s album, 44/876. Members of the official fan club will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance beginning Monday, May 21. Visit for details.

Sting and Shaggy initially joined forces to record a new song, “Don’t Make Me Wait” (which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s digital reggae singles chart), as a tribute to the Caribbean sounds that influenced them both and ended up recording an entire album.

The album title is a reference to their respective telephone country codes, 44 for the UK, Sting’s birthplace, and 876 for Jamaica, Shaggy’s homeland.

The album 44/876 honors the duo’s deep-rooted love for Jamaica: Shaggy’s birthplace, and where Sting penned such classics as “Every Breath You Take.”
