Moby plans to publish his second memoir, Then It Fell Apart, in 2019, it was announced.

“It’s a journey into the dark heart of fame and the demons that lurk beneath the bling and bluster of celebrity lifestyle,” Moby tweeted.

His new work comes on the heels of the prolific musician’s 2017 book Porcelain: A Memoir. The new book is expected in June.

The Moby Memoir to Focus on the Dark Side of Fame

The memoir part two will focus on the destructive path he was on as a result of his sudden fame after Play in 1999, and his subsequent recovery, according to the publisher, Faber Books.

“Suddenly he was hanging out with David Bowie and Lou Reed, Christina Ricci and Madonna, taking ecstasy for breakfast (most days), drinking liters of vodka (every day), and sleeping with super models (infrequently). It was a diet that couldn’t last. And then it fell apart.”

Last April, Moby sold several pieces of his musical equipment and said he would donate the proceeds to The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
